Advanced Has Constructed a Comprehensive Physical Rehabilitation Facility On-Site to Ensure the Maximum Continuity of Treatment.

We offer a complete spectrum of on-site physical therapy options as a part of our recovery method. We use a hands-on approach along with specific modalities. The most commonly used therapeutic procedures/modalities are:
  • Pain Management: moist heat, cryotherapy, ultrasound, iontophoresis, electrical muscle stimulation and massage.

  • Therapeutic Exercises: Customized for every condition such as strengthening, stabilizing and stretching restricted structures to restore normal pain-free range of motion, improve movement and proper muscle balance.

  • Manual Therapy: Consists of myofascial release techniques, stretching of restricted structures and specific strengthening of weak muscles, soft tissue and joint mobilization/manipulation, muscle energy and Mulligan techniques.

  • Postural Corrections: This includes some aspects of behavior modification, postural exercise and self-awareness. We concentrate on postural corrections, which can contribute to musculoskeletal derangements.

  • Home Management Program: A short detailed and specific home exercise program corresponding to the appropriate stage of condition, the do's and don'ts of self-management.

Our physical therapists treat common problems and conditions ranging from simple sprains and strains, to headaches, tendonitis and spinal conditions such as scoliosis, spinal stenosis, herniated nucleus pulpusus, s/p surgery, sciatica and acute and chronic pain. We also have successfully treated arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, chondromalacia patella, ACL and PCL reconstruction, meniscus/ ligament injuries, fractures, gait abnormalities, cervical and lumbar radiculapathy, adhesive capsulitis, rotator cuff tear, reflex dystrophy and de Quervain's syndrome.

While you are receiving treatment from the physical therapy team at Advanced Spine and Sports Medicine, they will also teach you how to use your body properly to gain strength and mobility to prevent recurring injuries. They work closely with our Physiatrist, your referring physician, and other members (chiropractic, medical massage, acupuncturist) of our health care team.
